G7

Today’s customers sourcing commercial printing services expect the utmost in quality. They want turn times as quick as
possible, and costs minimized. G7 Master Printer Certification helps ensure these expectations are met, and exceeded, by
upholding specific international standards that printers must meet if they wish to be certified.

What is G7?
G7 is an internationally recognized methodology for calibrating production printers and proofing systems. It raises the bar on color matching performance and guarantees the best printers in the marketplace.

A G7 Master Printer:

  • Is skilled, tested, certified and proven to be a leader in print production.
  • Knows the fields of color management, process, and quality control for proofing and printing.
  • Works to reduce costs, have quick turn time and improve brand consistency.

Who can be G7 Master Certified?
G7 Master qualification is granted to print facilities proven capable of performing the G7 methodology from proof to print
after being trained by a certified G7 expert. G7 Master Status indicates that the facility has calibrated its equipment and
systems to G7 gray balance and neutral tone curves and is capable of delivering G7 proofs and print products.

G7 Master Printers are members of the G7 Network and Idealliance (an industry not-for-profit organization) and are listed in a convenient lookup directory for print buyers looking for capable printers in a geographical area. They are authorized to use the G7 Master logo in advertising and qualify for printing opportunities specifying G7 Master printing.
